Party Super Thursday
Well I decided to get to some MTT poker on Thursday night. I wanted to play in the Party Super weekday tourney and actually pay for it. I usually win my entry into bigger events like this, but i decided to fork up the cash this time.
We started off with 1000 and 20 minute rounds, and all was going well as I doubled up to 2025 earlier when my 2 pair AJ beat someones 2 pair JT. We get to the 30/60 level and and I get dealt 7c 7d UTG+1. Now I am not sure what to do, this is one of those hands that gives me the most problems in early position. Anyway I decided to limp and hopefully see the flop cheap, but it cost me the whole tourney.
If anyone is reading this log, I know at least one person is, please comment.
Do you bring it in for a raise? If you do not bring it in for a raise and see the flop like me, would you be able to get off this hand after the flop. I made a huge re-raise to find out exactly where I was. I guess they gave me the answer, but I just did not buy it. I was told to not worry about monsters under the bed.
I am posting a link that will replay the hand... I hope.

I find in tournaments with fast structures that I cannot make a big laydown and win. If I'm beat, I'm beat. So there's no question of laying this down.
Raising preflop here doesn't seem to be very good either. You're probably not going to take down a sizable pot or anything. Your line was good, you just got unlucky that he had 68 in the blind.
In fast structures I find I try to chop out pots in position to sustain myself until I can win that big pot. Your line was fine to that end.
